打擊近況火燙的藍鳥11日主場大放煙火秀，狂敲4轟，菜鳥先發柯普蘭(Scott Copeland)7局僅失1分，7比2嗑掉馬林魚完成系列戰橫掃，拿下8連勝。

藍鳥二局下就展開攻勢，靠著連3安加上對手傳球失誤首開紀錄，皮拉(Kevin Pillar)再補上1支高飛犧牲打，攻下第2分，四局下無人出局二壘有人，史莫克(Justin Smoak)一棒將球送到右外野三壘看台，形成1支帶有2分打點的特大號全壘打，馬丁(Russell Martin)隨即補上同方向背靠背全壘打，藍鳥5比0領先。

七局下藍鳥再度點燃砲火，雷耶斯(Jose Rayes)、唐納森(Josh Donaldson)聯手貢獻單場第2次背靠背全壘打，灌進2分鎖定戰局；此役9支安打雖只比馬林魚多2支，但其中有4轟且火力相當集中，得點圈4支2優於對手的6支0。

不僅砲火猛烈，柯普蘭也有效壓制馬林魚打線，先發7局送出4次三振沒有保送，僅被敲6安打失1分，拿下本季首勝，防禦率僅0.90。

柯普蘭5月初才登上大聯盟，出賽2場就被下放3A，近日才因桑契斯(Aaron Sanchez)身體不適而被調上來支援，首場先發就繳出優質內容拿下生涯首勝，儘管賽後隨即回到小聯盟繼續拚戰，但他仍對自己的表現感到滿意，「很高興我的努力終於有回報，希望球團有看到我的表現，下次能讓我有機會繼續為球隊貢獻。」

藍鳥近期展現重砲本色，8連勝期間14轟，本季團隊全壘打數排名全聯盟第4，戰績也悄悄突破5成，在美聯東區暫居老三，落後給分區龍頭洋基3場勝差。
